DIY Sugar + Coconut Oil Body Scrub
I really love that I am tricking you guys into thinking I am good at DIY stuff. I am not.
Prepare to be fooled.
For my Clothing Swap this Friday, I am adopting the Go Big or Go Home mentality. I am preparing goodie bags & will be making Paleo cookies & am also donating all the extra clothing to a local resource that supports local homeless youth. So ain't nobody goin' home cause we going big. (That's not a saying, is it?)
The goodie bags mostly have discounted or even free services from some of my favorite SLO peeps (facials, handmade post cards, haircuts, cupcakes, you know, the normal stuff you need in life), but I wanted to throw a nice little personal/random goodie in there, too. And you know what?
I can do whatever I want.
DIY Sugar + Coconut Oil Body Scrub
Ingredients:
24 mini mason jars3.5 cups coconut oil 8 cups sugar (I got a 4 pound bag from Food 4 Less & it was the perfect amount) A little bit of food coloring (We mixed red & blue to make this beautiful purple color for me) Peppermint extract (or any other essential oil, like lavender!)
Instructions:
1. Mix everything in a bowl. 2. Put the mixture in little mason jars. 3. And... then close the mason jars? 4. I feel like there needs to be more instructions. 5. Give them to people? 6. OH! Keep it in the shower & use it as a lovely body scrub!
Other Random Info:
No, your skin will not turn purple. And yes, this made TWENTY FOUR of these babies. All in all, they cost about $2 each. So, if you really like your friends & want them to live forever & not use make-up/body scrub that will kill them but you don't want to spend more than TWO DOLLARS on them, then this is the perfect gift for you to make. And if you want to spend more than two dollars on them, then you can make them fifty. So generous!
p.s. Thank you to Ashley & Dylan who helped me make these & by help I mean they basically did the work & I just Snapped the whole thing. Yay team.
