Leaving the Country Every Year and Canada Totally Counts
As the travel addict I am, I have a goal to leave the country every year at least once for the rest of ever.
Can you picture me at 85 jetsetting to Ibiza just because? I can, I can. And damnit I’m an adorable 85 year old.
Here’s my rap sheet so far:
2008- Guatemala 2011- Australia & Europe 2012- Europe 2013- Mexico & Canada 2014- Canada
Now, I realize that the “out of country” locations are getting closer & closer to home, but hey, it still totally counts. I also realize that 2009 and 2010 have no countries, but I was too busy getting a degree and building my life, so pardon meeee.
This year feels like year of the hustle, so I may not be setting off on a Parisian adventure this year (or maybe I WILLLL…). John and I are headed to Mexico in December, but just in case, while visiting my sister & her beautiful, perfect son (my beautiful, perfect nephew) in northeast Washington, we thought we’d be all romantic & shiz and hop on over to Canada for a day. UGH we are so cute.
List of fabulous things we did:
-lunched at the lake, completely solo -got served a gourmet, home cooked meal by our hosts -ate dessert by the river bed -went to sleep at 9 pm (VACATIONNNN) -ate breakfast by the river bed -hiked up to a waterfall -took A LOT of selfies
-Side note-
Can we take a moment of silence for Facebook albums? Not a thing anymore, not a thing. So here is where I will put all our zillions of photos, with zero shame.
p.s. I kind of forgot my camera/ kind of did not bring it on purpose, because my camera is a magical time sucker. As soon as I have it in my hands, all I want to do is wander and take photos, when really I just want to enjoy time with my bae. And take photos on my iPhone, which is somehow better?
p.p.s. To travel is to live.
p.p.p.s. All of my adventures are on Snapchat. Come along with me, yeah? @asiacroson
p.p.p.p.s. If John and I made an album, we would fight between these two covers. I would win and we would do the one on the right ;)
